Are you really INTJ, or was that just an example? I am INTJ, tested as such when I was in graduate school studying I/O Psychology. At the time, to my detriment, my professor never really discussed the meanings of the different personality types in the MBTI system.
About two years ago, I was doing about what you did, web surfing away my insomnia, and found a whole community of INTJs on YouTube. The people there made me realize I wasn't the freak everyone always made me out to be, and that there were others like me out there.
Only something like 2% of men and 0.5% of women are INTJ. Personally, I put very little stock in labels, but in this case, it provided a categorical means of identifying with others like myself.
