I completely get the trust issue thing. I rarely dated, mostly because it took me years to understand that someone could actually like me. I was so used to narcissistic parents who treated me like a pariah that the idea of someone actually wanting to spend time with me never occurred to me. If people did act as though they liked me, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. I took it as, "they are acting as though they like me, I wonder what they want."

Seriously, narcissism does so much damage, it should be a jailable offense.
