I live in San Diego, CA now, and have lived in Virginia Beach, VA. I grew up swimming in the Atlantic and the Pacific. These days I never enter the water. That disconcerting feeling every time…things brush up against my legs in murky water really started to bother me. Most of the time it’s probably just seaweed, but who knows? Then again, maybe I have just read too much Lovecraft. 😂
