I periodically drop off Twitter, just to escape the toxicity. What keeps me going back are the animal and sea life images, and the space images.
I deleted Facebook back in January, mostly because I never used it, plus it’s super toxic. This past summer, just before becoming active on Medium, I was participating in a couple of the INTJ communities on Quora. That was turning pretty toxic too.
One person on Quora even accused me of not really being INTJ based on how I reacted to a situation. Ok, first of all, I was administered the MBTI in grad school by a professor who had a doctorate in psychology. Second, just because we’re INTJ doesn’t mean we’re all cut from the same cloth. We don’t all think and react exactly the same. I finally decided I was wasting my time on Quora.
I am glad the other media fell apart though. Because of that, I have met some wonderful people here on Medium. Silver linings. :)
