I quit FB back in January. No real drama, I just didn't find it useful. I dumped FB the way I throw out brickabrack I find in the back of my closet. Sort of that category of stuff I acquire that seemed like a good idea at the time, and never really got used. I had a FB account for about 12 years, and in that time had uploaded about 6 pics to it. I downloaded the photos and hit delete. A month later, I got the email that my account was well and truly gone. Haven't missed it. I don't think less of people that use it, but it just wasn't my thing.
