I saw this movie last night. It wasn’t bad, but not really what I’d call good. My take on it was that it just existed to illustrate that casual violence was a part of Tony Soprano’s life from the start, and perhaps makes the point that Tony never had a chance. He was a hyperviolent hothead in the series, and this movie gives some insight into the underpinnings of that. Beyond that, I really didn't see the point.
