It’s funny. I’m white, but even I used to joke with my classmates in high school about how the school looked like a prison. It was made entirely of cement. No paint. Everywhere you looked was grey cement. All the windows were those siege-style windows, narrow slits that a person couldn’t squeeze through even if you tried. From the time we went inside in the morning until the end of the day, we barely even saw sunlight. Back then, it was my everyday. I doubt I could do it now. Food for thought. Thank you.
