It's funny, but I've had friends act horrified when I tell them I don't talk to my family anymore. I used to envy people who had family that could behave decently. Now I'm happy for them.

It would be great to have that, but I can't, and not because I don't want to, but because my family won't give up their narcissistic game playing. I just don't have room for that in my life. That's my choice.
