It’s like you’re in my head. When I was single, I used to get dragged to nightclubs by friends who thought I needed to “put myself out there.” I hated those places. Noisy, chaotic, strobing lights and music so loud it’s painful. Worst, the only people you meet are drunks. I’d go home half deaf, head pounding and stinking of cigarette smoke (this was before the bans on indoor smoking). I finally quit that scene, with the thinking that anyone I meet who’s into that is not a good match for me.
