It’s not just schools where you see this. I worked for 3 years as a retail manager for a pharmacy chain in the Seattle area. I floated quite a bit. I worked in a store in a wealthy suburb and several locations in the inner city.
I hated working the location in the wealthy area. The entitlement and privilege is beyond belief. I liked working in the inner city way more. The drunks could be a bit much, but even though the inner city had a tougher clientele, I had few problems working there. It’s amazing how far a healthy dose of respect gets you.
