My last job was in a retail pharmacy in the Pacific Northwest. I worked in several stores in a variety of areas, from a wealthy neighborhood to a ghetto. I can tell you, I would rather work in the ghetto. The poor people were the nicest customers, and gave me fewer problems day to day.
The customers in the wealthy neighborhood had a very large proportion of entitled jerks. I think the people in the poor neighborhoods just understood the point of view of the working person much better. Those who were wealthy and never had a job just saw us as peons to be abused. They had no context for empathy.
