So true! I have enjoyed writing for years. Tried noveling, but the essay format seems to be more my speed. It seems like it just lends itself better to the way I think. It's just really nice that this environment is so benign and supportive of new writers. I have a bunch of other social media accounts, but find I always have to second guess what I post, because the toxicity makes me afraid to say anything for fear of what flames may come my way. Around here, it seems like the rule is "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
