Yeah, anybody who would sit down unbidden and take the time to shred someone else's work is just showcasing their own low self esteem. It's about them, not you. Besides, English has always been a bastard language, and remains a work in progress.

I once described the English language as a Latin-infused Germanic language with a smattering of everything else. Every few decades, someone gets the bright idea to nail down rules of usage and whatnot, and in about 50 years, the whole thing has been upended again.

Screw the haters. Write your truth. If they can't handle that, it's on them.
