Yeah, I am 54 and can honestly say I have never received a fair performance appraisal. The one I still laugh about was a few years ago. My boss actually gave me a poor rating for something I hadn’t even done. I pointed out to him that I hadn’t done that behavior. He replied that he knew I hadn’t done it, but that if I had, it would have been “really bad” (his words). The appraisal stood. 🤦‍♂️
